How you make a difference

The Regional MAT Manager leads and coordinates medication assisted treatment services across the assigned region, overseeing program development, implementation, and daily operations. This role ensures MAT services align with the organization’s mission for patient care and that teams consistently follow established standards. The position manages regulatory and unusual event reporting while supporting effective patient care and operational performance. The Regional MAT Manager works closely with interdisciplinary teams and provides oversight for regional MAT initiatives and staff.



Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, supervise, and coordinate MAT services across all assigned facilities in collaboration with medical, behavioral health, psychiatric, and security teams.
  • Implement and oversee MAT policies, procedures, and protocols for assessment, monitoring, and medication management.
  • Lead program development, expansion, staffing, clinical supervision, training, and professional development for MAT staff.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, contracts, funding sources, and corrective action requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison with facilities, subcontracted agencies, community partners, and corporate stakeholders to support effective MAT service delivery.



Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state in which employed.
  • Other substance abuse certification or MAT experience preferred.

Experience

  • Five plus years of related experience.
  • Experience in the coordination and administration of behavioral health or medical service delivery systems as well as knowledge and/or interest in the provision of integrated behavioral health/medical programming within a multidisciplinary framework.
  • Professional experience in the behavioral health or medical field that indicates knowledge of management and supervision techniques, peer review, data collection and quality assurance.
  • Experience successfully navigating a correctional healthcare setting in which there are multiple stakeholders and needs to consider while maintaining the patient’s needs as the primary focus.
  • Experience training a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience working with patient experiencing withdrawal from drugs and alcohol.
  • Experience working with a multidisciplinary team and holding members accountable for performance.
  • Experience completing CQI and performance measure studies and implementing interventions as needed.
  • Grant writing or experience working with grants, preferred.
  • Must be able and willing to travel up to 25% of the time.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Related certification may be applicable based on specific state requirements
