How you make a difference

The Business Development Director drives company growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities while strengthening existing client relationships within an assigned territory. This role manages renewals, rebids, and contract extensions to ensure client retention and contract continuity. The Director executes targeted sales strategies, analyzes revenue trends, and provides strategic insights to leadership to support market expansion. Collaboration with internal stakeholders supports successful sales execution, client satisfaction, and seamless service delivery. The position also contributes to RFP development, represents the organization at industry events, and promotes the company as a trusted leader in the correctional healthcare industry.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage client retention through renewals, rebids, and contract extensions while strengthening existing customer relationships.

  • Identify, develop, and close new and existing sales opportunities to achieve revenue and margin targets.

  • Execute territory-specific sales plans, analyze revenue forecasts, and monitor market and competitor trends.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to support sales success and client service delivery.

  • Contribute to RFP development, client presentations, and represent the organization at industry events.



Qualifications & Requirements

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience in Criminal Justice, Business, Communications, or a related field

  • Master’s degree preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • Five (5) years of professional experience

  • Experience working with criminal justice systems or selling services to government or similar agencies preferred

  • Industry and sales experience highly desirable

  • Knowledge of sales strategies specific to government sales
